The Five Evils

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported my thoughts and vision of eliminating the five evils from human life: Kaam (Lust), Krodh (Anger), Lobh (Greed), Moh (Attachment), and Ahankar (Ego).

I believe these five evils behave like invisible viruses that influence human thoughts and actions from the very beginning of life. Who introduced these "viruses" into humanity is a question that only the Creator can answer.

The intensity of these evils varies from person to person. In some individuals they may be barely noticeable, while in others they become overwhelming. However, to some extent, these tendencies exist within all of us.

Throughout human history, these five evils have been the root cause of countless problems and suffering. They have contributed to crimes such as rape, murder, theft, corruption, domestic violence, the oppression of women, terrorism, wars, discrimination, exploitation, and many other forms of human misery.

Despite the tremendous efforts of schools, families, places of worship, social organizations, law enforcement agencies, courts, governments, the United Nations, and international institutions, these problems continue to exist. Their contributions are invaluable, but humanity still needs a more effective and long-term solution.

When the world faced COVID-19, scientists united to develop vaccines and medicines that saved millions of lives. In the same spirit, I believe humanity should invest its knowledge, research, and innovation into finding ways to prevent or significantly reduce the influence of these five destructive human tendencies.

With folded hands, I respectfully appeal to scientists, researchers, psychologists, medical professionals, educators, philosophers, spiritual leaders, and policymakers across the world to work together in exploring practical solutions that can help future generations overcome these five evils.

If one day such preventive or therapeutic solutions become possible, we must have the courage and commitment to implement them for the benefit of society—not only for ordinary citizens, but for everyone, including those in positions of power, individuals who commit crimes, and all members of humanity.

I know this is an ambitious vision. It may take decades—perhaps even 50 years or more—to achieve meaningful progress.

Every great achievement in human history began with an idea that once seemed impossible. If we begin today, future generations may inherit a world with less violence, less hatred, less greed, and more compassion, peace, justice, and humanity.

Let us not work only for ourselves. Let us work for the children of tomorrow.
